International Singlehood Advocates Network working together to transform the world.
Singlehood Australia is one of many.
Being single is different in different countries. Social, cultural, and political realities inform what it means to be single and present diverse challenges for those living in societies where public policy and social practices privilege couples and families.
In 2024, Singlehood Australia, Centrum Individu en Sameleving, Holland, and All 1, Belgium, invited advocates and social policy researchers around the world to form the International Singlehood Advocacy Network.
This network offers a forum to exchange ideas and information, support members in their individual countries advocate for the rights of single people, and where possible, collaborate on raising awareness and advocating for the equality, inclusion, and respect of single people everywhere.
The membership of this network includes organisations and researchers from around the world who are dedicated to raising awareness of the particular discrimination, stereotyping, and stigma single people encounter, and to ensuring no one is vilified or denied their human rights to dignity and safety as a result of their relationship or parental status.
